Thanksgiving with the Chambers

For everybody who knows us knows we don't do an "American Thanksgiving". We decided that we would start a new tradition so about 4 or 5 yrs ago we started making a HUGE breakfast everyone has a favorite breakfast item and we invite whoever wants to come over and clean up and I am out of the kitchen by 10 am. We all pack in the truck and go find our perfect Christmas tree from our beautiful south hills. We spend quality time stuffing our faces with delicious food and spending time together as a family, which is what Thanksgiving is all about.

We found our tree and Dad is hard at work so we can take it home to decorate, also part of our Thanksgiving tradition.
So many trees to choose from, but alas we could only get one 10 ft. tall, someday, I will have a house with 25 ft ceilings.
"I think this one is good, please woman just pick a tree already" You know he said that too!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING LOVE THE CHAMBERS

I am loving that he calls you woman. That is still cracking me up. Glad you had a great Thanksgiving. it looked like you had a good time. Sadly enough, we got our artificial tree out of the garage and put that up. We actually used to get a real one from the local farm, but I found out some were carrying scorpions, so thus ended our real tree days. Maybe someday in the future. Love you Bob!

Cool tradition. Hope you guys have a good Holiday season, and good luck getting all your school stuff taken care of. I don't know why teaching didn't occur to you guys earlier since it would give you a whole summer to do a bunch of fun family-stuff. Keep us posted.

Yeah, we cut down our tree, too. We found it in our shed and had to put it together. Probably not as fun as your trip, but a lot warmer and the kids don't scream as much.
