We have had a wonderful weekend so far with my brothers coming to visit and enjoying Pee-Wee and Jen's little Kaiyas big day (#1 Bday). Mike and his family and Ben and his boys came to stay and visit for a few days, what a treat it is to spend time with family and I am always amazed at how well we get along and how much I love them and their beautiful families. They came to my bootcamp class I taught, we all went Geocashing with the kids, and just had a great time.

So I am officially a bootcamp instructor at the YMCA in Twin Falls. I taught my first class today and fell in love. I love it so much I keep forgetting I am getting paid (not much) but it's ok. I team taught, for my first time, with another first-timer, Gilly Funk. We didn't know eachother before, but we sure do now. So much fun and they were whining like babies.

As most of you know Grandma Smith has been in a nursing home for a while now, and when I get the chance I try to go and visit her, this is a pic from my last visit. I have truly enjoyed getting to know her, even if it has been later in both of our lives. What a sweet, interesting and fun lady (and remember 95 yr. old) she is.

We went to Idaho Falls a couple weeks ago and helped Erin out with her garage sale, (the big boys went on a trip to Montana) Woody had decided he wanted a breakfast stand at the garage sale and called it a continental breakfast. He had a great time and has the right kind of personality, talking to everyone. After he paid back the money for his supplies he made about $15 dollars. Which he then tried to spend buying whatever was leftover at the garage sale. Aunt Erin gave him pretty sweet deals on what he wanted. (He was pretty sad that he couldn't get $20, he wanted to buy the TV at the garage sale, funny thing, WE BROUGHT IT) Ya gotta love Woody.

Here's his "stand" what a great job he did, this was before we opened and he is NOT a morning person, but warmed up quickly and did a great job.

So at the end of 3rd grade, in June, Woody brought home a small plant and says "Mom I need to grow my cabbage. If I grow the biggest cabbage before the 4th Grade I will win a prize" So we planted the cabbage and just watered it and watched it grow. Judging by his picks I am pretty sure he is going to win a great prize.

Downata Springs 2009. Another eventful Smith Reunion, the kids were a bit older and easier. Harold brought his 4 wheeler this year and it was enjoyed by all, especially Jakob. Once again it rained ALOT, but it was so much fun and the kids love spending time with their cousins and love camping. (Smith kind of camping with showers and a bathroom and heated hot springs) We like to rough it.

DRIVE IN MOVIE NIGHT

Well it was the Chambers first time at the Drive-in movie theater in Twin Falls or anywhere for that matter. The kids could just never stay up that late, but Harold was persistent, so we went to see UP, what a great show. The kids loved every minute of it, the planning the waiting and especially the screen, and the fact that the movie was OUTSIDE just about blew their cute little minds.

Its finally summer time and we were invited to a water party at our friend Heidi Connor's house. It was a beautiful afternoon and the kids loved it. You can see Harold and Woody and Rocky behind Regan. Regan stayed away from the squirt guns, but warmed up to the pool and the slide after a while. Squirting her with water is actually part of her therapy with Dr. Whitney.

To Be a Kid Again

Harold and I attended a fundraiser(he was the MC) to benefit the neonatal unit at St. Lukes here in Twin Falls. The theme was "To Be a Kid Again", so they had bounce houses, karoke, twister and a place to play dress up and take pics. So this is us acting as childish as possible all for a good cause.This is our best punk suck in the face look.

I just love this guy and check out how blue his eyes are, I told him to dye his hair.

9 Wonderful Years

This is us about 10 yrs. ago at a friends wedding, the friend who introduced us.

Harold and I have been married a wonderful 9 years now and I am pleased to say it just keeps getting better. We laugh more, we love eachother more and their is no way I could possible be happier. He is an amazing dad, playing catch, wrestling, and reading to them. He adores and loves me more than a woman deserves. We are so blessed to have eachother.

I can honestly say we look better and are healthier now than we were when we married.

Last Week end I went to Vegas for my very first Girls Only weekend since having kids. Me, my great friend Jennie Elliott and her sister Tricia left on Saturday and returned Monday. We got to see the Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian, which was INCREDIBLE!! We also shopped until we dropped, literally, and rode a Gondola. I laughed the whole time and loved it. What a great husband I have that is so great with me leaving and getting some good ol' chick time in. Truly a weekend I will never forget.Tricia, Jennie and I showing off our new sunglasses.

We have been talking about PaPa's birthday all week, (thanks to Amy's trusty calendar) We talked about it again this morning and I told the kids we would call PaPa soon. When I got home from the gym this morning my beautiful little Regan met me at the door with these "flowers" in hand. "Look Mom, I got flowers for PaPa's birthday" it was soooo cute. Happy Birthday Dad, we love you and miss you.

10th Grade Registration

I can't believe Tiger is almost 15 and I can't believe we registered him for the 10th grade today, where does the time go. What a wonderful young man he has grown up to be. He loves computers, has started his own website. He is very active in scouts and the young men organization at church and he is such a big help to us at home.

He was taller than me about a year and a half ago, and I'm not short at 5'7.

Harold and Tiger have such a great relationship, what a great dad he is.

Tiger has a ways to go before he is taller than 6'2, and he may not get there, the race is on.

Oh the good ol' days, what's sad is that this was only 3 1/2 yrs ago.

EARLY EASTER AT BEN AND ERINS

We went to Ben and Erin's in Idaho Falls for General Conference and had an early Easter celebration. They had a great Easter egg hunt for all the kids in the back yard. All the grandkids were there except Tiger, but we had a great time with all the family!

Woody's Pack Meeting.

So Woody had his scout pack meeting this last week and the theme was "What I want to be when I grow up" So of course because he is a Chamber it was going to be interesting. So here was the conversation, "Woody, what do you want to be for the pack meeting", " I want to be a rock start", "What does a rock star wear?", "Geez Mom, they wear stuff in their hair, flipping sweet pants with skulls and flipping sweet shirts", "Do they wear jewelery?" , "No, geez mom I'm not a girl"

I told him maybe to smile, but I was informed apparently rock stars don't smile, and guess where he got the horns, thanks dad.

And because Woody was a Rock star, Rocky wanted the blue hair gel and wanted to be in on the fun, he was just having a problem with the horns, too cute.
So, not exactly a rock star, maybe a little more devil, which is so fitting for this one.
Regan put on a pair of glasses that another girl had who was dressing up like a teacher.

Chambers Family Update.

I haven't been on her for a while, things have been very hectic here and I thought I would give a little update of everyone. It's been about a month since Harold was laid off at the radio station, and we are doing ok, he has since gotten a night job at Dominos, delivering pizzas. He is doing great in school working towards a Geology degree to become an Earth Science teacher. Still making his bio-diesel and still searching for buried treasure/gold, and still the best husband and father I could ever ask for.
I am still going strong in school and have about a year left at CSI before I can transfer to the Business program at BSU. I am loving school and the sense of accomplishment I feel, even though I just feel old around all the youngens there. I am also still working out almost everyday and it has become so much of a passion I am going to get certified to become a personal trainer/group fitness leader. The kids keep me busy and I love the smiles and laughs they bring to the house.
Tiger is in the 9th grade and stays busy with school and scouts and has a website he has started with his friends http://teamrejection.webs.com/ they make their own videos and Tiger edits them, they are actually pretty funny and he is the most computer savy one in the house. He keeps us entertained with his "teenage version" on funny and we just try to stock up the house to keep up with his teenage appetite.
Woody is his own kind of character. He is in the 3rd grade at Bickel Elem. He is very sensitive and notices everything, I can't even buy clothes anymore becuase he always notices and then asks Harold "Hey Dad don't you like Mom's new shirt?" and Harold says "You told me that was old" Woody also has a huge imagination, and loves the computer also. He plays sports but doesn't have the drive in him to get in their and get dirty. What he wants to be changes each week from "A weather man, to a Rock Star" He loves to say "Oh, snap" when he knows he is right, funny funny kid.
Regan is in the 1st grade at Bickel Elem. and is our little princess. She has an aide with her everyday at school to help out the teacher and she goes to Developmental Therapy after school 3 days a week. She also has speech therapy once a week, and once a month she goes up to Boise to have a session with Dr. Whitney, her autism specialist. She is very into animals right now, frogs, dogs, horses, almost anything. She now has more good days than bad and will be playing t ball again this summer, I will make sure to post some of that. She likes to wear dresses and call herself a princess, she likes to boss her little brothers around, so all in all she is a pretty typical little 7 yr. old, except that she is REALLY tall.
Rocky is hysterical. He is 5 now and getting ready for kindergarten next fall. With the faces he makes we could call him Calvin (if you are familiar with the Calvin and Hobbes comicstrip you know what I mean) But Rocky is enough of a nickname already. He is into telling knock knock jokes, they are horrible and don't make any sense, but he loves telling them. He loves dinosaurs, growling like any animal, wrestling with ANYTHING that stands in front of him and just being a cute little stinker. He is my baby and the only one left who will still sit on my lap and let me love and hug him and read him stories, I don't know how long it will last but I take my chances when they come.

Chambers Family 4-Wheeler Fun!!

Well this was my first time driving a 4 wheeler, little touchy, but fun and I will get used to it. Woody would only ride with me because he knew I wouldn't go too fast, just like his mom.
We have discovered Regan's new love, the look on her face says it all, she kept saying "Go faster, Go faster" Most definently daddy's girl!
This is one of my favorite pics, she's happy he got a 4 wheeler almost as much daddy is.

THE LESSON

So we took Harold's new 4 wheeler out on Monday, and it was Tigers turn, he's too big to ride with Dad, so he got to take it for a spin all by himself.

I love this picture, can't you just hear him, "I swear boy, if you do anything to my new 4 wheeler I will sell you to the lowest bidder"!!

There are 3 brakes on this thing so almost idiot proof, but he is 14 and so the lesson continues..
and look at our little Tiger all grown up, he almost got it up to 5 mph, I think his Dad scared him.

WELL HE WENT AND DID IT

Well it was about 10 months ago when I uttered the immortal words, "If you get to 210 pds, or under, you can buy a 4 wheeler" Well he did it, he is 67 pds lighter and a 4 wheeler richer. I am very proud of him and will post pics of him and his 4 wheeler together soon. And the only thing he says is "Not even close to what Mike lost......"This picture was taken at the radio station last year and the loverboy was a co-workers joke.
I had to take picture of the proof, I wasn't going to let him buy a 4 wheeler with out hard evidence and he had to be under 210.

These are the same clothes as in the pic, he has gone from a size 44 pants to 32. Good job honey, and PS if you get above 230 I am taking the keys away. Love you.

Woody has been playing city basketball for about 3 yrs. now, and he is getting better. Every year a little more aggressive, a little less timid. We were so proud when he made this shot and more that we remembered the camera. Go Woody!!

The other morning we were getting ready for school and Regan always pics the hair piece she wants in her hair. I asked her what she wanted and she said, "I want to be a chicken" So this hair do is the closest I could come up with. She walked around for the rest of the day saying, "Bock, Bock".

So I am in the kitchen doing the dishes and Rocky says he is finished with dinner. So we walk into the dining room to "check" his plate. I look at his plate and notice it is empty but before I can even say good job, Rocky says "Don't look down, ok Mom" So of course I look down and see ALL of his dinner in a nice little pile under his chair "hiding". Atleast I don't have to worry about this one pulling a fast one on me for a while.

Mormon Marshmallow Jell-O

This is what happens when your husband has to much time on his hands. He made some "mormon" marshmallow Jell-O and took it to the work Christmas party, and I am pretty sure it was a joke. So as you can see there was ALOT leftover and no one at home liked it, except him. I needed the pan to make something good, Pumpkin Chocolate Cheesecake Bars, I know sounds good right. Anyway, he thought this was easier and better than just throwing it away. If you know my husband then you understand, I accept your condolonces.

Cookies and EggNog for Santa

So it was like any other Christmas Eve, lots of chaos, family time and all the kids wanting to go to bed at 6:30 thinking that would make Santa come sooner. It was Woody's job this year to set out the treat for Santa. He took it upon himself to write a note also.........
......"Santa have fun with your cookies"........at the bottom of the note he drew a line and wrote "comment", just in case Santa needed to say anything.............

Just so you know the next morning Woody found that the cookies and eggnog were gone and Santa did leave a comment ........."Eat your dinner"

The "South Hills" House

If you are from the Twin Falls area then you know about the South Hills house. It's a nice ordinary house from Jan-Nov. , but com December it is transformed into a wonderland of lights and decorations. It was about 23 degrees, but we braved the cold to walk the circle driveway and look at all the lights, decorations, Santa, but mostly the camel with 2 humps that you could feed carrots to. Woody and Rocky with Santa, Rocky is still just a little shy with Santa.
This is where Regan found out that Bull the camel was sick and wasn't in his cage, it kind of went downhill from here.

Rocky and I were driving home last week and I saw black smoke rising. I couldn't tell what it was, but the closer we got to our house the more my heart pounded. When we rounded the corner I could tell it was coming from behind our alley on the street over. The house was gone in a matter of minutes. The house was under construction, and actually just moved from Kimberly Rd. on a new foundation they put there. Luckily the house was vacant and no one was hurt. I did end up on the 10 o'clock news because of my footage, just a short spot because Regan was screaming and Woody was trying to run the camera. This footage reminds me that it can all be gone in an instant and all we really have is our family. Remember to love and cherish the most important things in your life.

OK SO NOT EXACTLY HALF, BUT CLOSE. I JUST WANTED TO SHOW EVERYONE HOW HARD HAROLD HAS WORKED THIS YEAR ON LOSING WEIGHT. HE HAS LOST 63 PDS. SO FAR SINCE APRIL. ALL HE DID WAS RIDE HIS BIKE BACK AND FORTH TO WORK (A TOTAL OF 10 MILES) AND ATE RIGHT. HIS MOTIVATION IS TO BE HEALTHIER, BUT MOSTLY ITS A FOUR-WHEELER. I TOLD HIM HE COULD GET ONE IF HE HITS HIS GOAL OF 210, AND HE'S ALMOST THERE. NOW WE KNOW NOBODY CAN BEAT UNCLE MIKE'S SUCCESS STORY, BUT I AM VERY PROUD OF MY HANDSOME HUBBY AND PLEASE DISREGARD ME IN THE BEFORE PICTURE ITS NOT MY FINEST MOMENT.

Regan's First Christmas Program

This is Regan's first Christmas Program. All of her and Woody's school had a part in it. We were so worried about how she would react to going up without her teacher or us, but she continues to surprise us daily. You'll notice once the music starts and the kids start to sway she fits right in, except that is until her little stuffed cat becomes the focus of all her attention. But once that is situated its smooth sailing. Grab a tissue you will need it.

Thanksgiving with the Chambers

For everybody who knows us knows we don't do an "American Thanksgiving". We decided that we would start a new tradition so about 4 or 5 yrs ago we started making a HUGE breakfast everyone has a favorite breakfast item and we invite whoever wants to come over and clean up and I am out of the kitchen by 10 am. We all pack in the truck and go find our perfect Christmas tree from our beautiful south hills. We spend quality time stuffing our faces with delicious food and spending time together as a family, which is what Thanksgiving is all about.

We found our tree and Dad is hard at work so we can take it home to decorate, also part of our Thanksgiving tradition.
So many trees to choose from, but alas we could only get one 10 ft. tall, someday, I will have a house with 25 ft ceilings.
"I think this one is good, please woman just pick a tree already" You know he said that too!!

We are in the middle of the line, this is just the front and the back is behind us.
I drove up to Boise for the night to watch it with my good friend Jennie Elliott.

Yes, i got sucked in. Yes, i read all 4 books in 1 week. Yes, I daydream of Edward. Yes, I waited in line on opening night for 1 1/2 hours with tickets we bought 3 weeks before that with 14 other 30 something women all with children (some of which made their own t-shirts) and yes it was AWESOME, so lay off.

Remodeling the kitchen....don't try this at home

Here are some before and in between pics of the kitchen remodeling project. We took down the old cabinets to make room for the new fridge. We ordered new cabinets, and you know what they say "Measure twice" yea, so we decided that didn't apply to us. We were two inches off, TWO INCHES, but who's counting. So we had to tear out part of the wall to make room because that is cheaper than ordering a new cabinet 2 inches smaller. Part of the wall is connected to part of the roof, and the hilarity begins. Stay tuned for the after picture, but don't get your hopes up, and stop laughing.

Yes, that is insulation from the attic.

Planes, planes, and more planes!!

We went down to visit Dad and Cheryl and Mike and Amy's family this last weekend. We went to one of the biggest Air Force museums their is. It's on Hill AFB, Dad loved to
talk about all the planes, and the kids just wanted to fly in them. We had a great time!!

So we finally went to Chucky Cheese when we were down in Utah, I am pretty sure the kids thought it only existed on the Disney Channel. We had a great time and spent too much money, which is why we have never been before.

Harold and I are the new activity directors in the ward, so we had a huge tri-ward trunk or treat. The kids love getting dressed up and were so excited for halloween this year. Woody was a muscle man, Rocky of course was Thomas the Train, and Regan what else but a beautiful princess who even let me put make up on her. We had a great time and have enough candy to last until next year.

Regan had her first grade Halloween party today. They don't let the kids wear their costumes, but it was red ribbon week and everyone wore their pajamas. We were so excited when she decided to wear her pj's so out of her routine and she loved it. Just a few pics of her and her classmates and her wonderful teacher, Mrs. Kochie. A little nod to the photographer, Jen Guzman, she is Regan's aid at school and we couldn't do it without her.

Today Regan had a field trip to the pumpkin patch with her first grade class. Luckily me and Harold were both able to go. Regan loves riding the bus and sitting with her friends and she has a wonderful teacher, Mrs. Kochie who is just great with Regan.

Because I don't feel old enough my little brother Pee-Wee had a baby and we went to Pocatello for the blessing. She is the prettiest happiest baby and we love her so much already. The cousins love being around each other and of course I love my hanging out with my brothers, too.

My little boy is 8 already, I can't believe it. Woody was baptized in September and was the first one baptized in the brand new stake center behind the temple. Harold says he was the first two baptisms since on the first try his toe stuck out. He was great and we loved having all friends and family there

Rocky decided he wanted something on the tall skinny dresser in his room. So he came up with the idea to pull out the bottom drawer and use it as a step. The dresser came crashing down on him and added yet another scar to his cute little four-year old face. Please remember this is the kid who has pulled his elbow out of socket many times and broken his leg.
